Indian Haircuts – Mohawk Hairstyles
One of the Indian haircuts is the Mohawk hairstyle. The Mohawk is not traditionally used on Indian boys but for anyone. The Mohawk is when the hair is shaved off the head except for a strip down the middle. There are many different styles of Mohawks and the sides of the head do not necessarily have to be completely shaved off. Some Mohawk hairstyles are huge while some are just a short strip of hair longer down the middle of the head. Teenagers today tend to spike the Mohawk as high as possible because they think it looks cool.
The art of braiding was adopted from the Indians who used to braid their hair and put it in pigtails. A French braid or micro braid hairstyle is still used today by women as its one of the more popular and easier hairstyles to deal with. Braiding your hair the night before is also a technique to help curl your hair for the next day. By braiding the hair the night before, going to sleep and then taking out the braids in the morning will give your hair a curly look which is very attractive.
Shaving symbols into the head is also a tradition that was adopted by the Indian tribe. Most tribes had their own symbols that boys and men would shave into their hair. Today teenage boys shave things into their hair and some young adults shave styles into the side of their head to create designs that run along with their facial hair.
