short blonde haircut for winterHair Ideas For Blonde Short Haircuts

Blonde short haircuts can be a hard color to transition into the winter months without using traditional darker highlight to change the tone of the hair into something a bit warmer for the winter.  By using traditional darker tones through out the blonde hair, this will help make the transition to a warmer shade easy.  But what if you are seeking something different than the traditional dark blonde or darker brown highlights?

Here are some ideas for short blonde hair that can create wonderful looks for the winter season with out having a more traditional look.  First use colors in your short blond hair other than the traditional ash, dark or light brown highlights.  Try using color in the red family which can be combined with other rich warm colors to create a soft warm looking hairstyle.

Instead of adding highlights to your hair consider trying something completely different.  Consider for example an all over color.  You may want to start with something very subtle like a caramel brown color, which will be an easy transition, rather than choosing a very dark color which could be a little harder to get used to.  However if you are looking for a bold color and are not worried about transitioning your blonde hair subtly why not choose something dramatic.  You could try a nice cherry red or a dark chocolate brown color.

Short blonde hair is a fun way to wear your hair especially in the spring or summer months.  There are many options to help you transition your short blonde hair into winter months so choose what is best for you and have fun with it.

Hair Dye For Blonde Hair Mishaps

The practice of dying hair is extremely popular and is one of the biggest fashion trends of today. People dye their hair for many reasons which include, to express yourself, cover up gray hair, add color to your hairstyle and just for fun. Having your hair professionally dyed can be expensive depending on what salon you go to. Since hair dye has become so popular and expensive do-it-yourself hair color kits have become a great alternative to salon visits. There are many ways of creating your own hair color using kool aid, or you can purchase a package of a specific color that you are looking for. Blonde hair dye is one of the most popular hair dye colors people pick, not only to dye their entire head but people use blonde to also highlight parts of their hair.

When you dye your own hair blonde its important to follow the steps on the back of the box, otherwise you might find yourself with a green head or a color that is not close to blonde. If you find your hair turning green, its most likely the color coming out of your already dark hair strands and you may need to reapply another coat of bleaching dye. Be sure to apply dish soap to the hair to wash out the green color and it may take a few tries to get the green color out of your hair. If you do not feel comfortable with doing this yourself you can always go to a salon and they will mix up the correct amount of dye to fix your hair. The great thing about hair dye is that you can always find a fix.

If your hair is dyed and you want to dye it back to a darker color, this will work but you have to remember that every time you dye your hair you are risking the possibility of damaging it. Its best to only dye your hair once, maybe twice to keep from damaging the hair itself as hair dye is strong against your hair. If you end up damaging your hair and then want to get it fixed at a local salon it may cost you more money than you may be willing to spend on fixing your hair color.
