Bridesmaids are an essential part of a wedding party.  They represent the bride and are part of the bridal party to support, encourage, and celebrate the bride.  A bridesmaid is never to outshine the bride, but is to attend her.  Bridesmaids have many jobs and one of those is to look nice for the wedding ceremony, but to never look better than the bride.

With that said a bridesmaid’s hairstyle is also an important part of a bride’s big day.  There are several styles this year that are popular for a bridesmaid.  One of those styles it to have the hair styled in a halfdo.  This style is accomplished by having the hair loosely curled first.  Make sure to set the curls with hairspray, this step will help the curls stay put.  Next clip half the hair up in what looks like a pony tail making sure to use a clip and not elastic.  Leave the rest hanging loosely.  Be sure to use a beautiful clip as an accessory to the dress.

Another great style this year is to have the hair up in a French twist.  This is a simple hairstyle that creates a nice elegant look.  To achieve this look take the hair and simply twist it tightly once the hair is in a tight twist bring the hair up to the back of the head and pin it up.  It is a simple and elegant look that takes no time at all to achieve.

A great rule to follow is, have the bridesmaids’ hair be opposite of the bride.  If the bride is wearing her hair up, then the bridesmaid can wear her hair down or vise versa.  Being a bridesmaid is a wonderful way to show the bride how much you care about her and having a nice hair style is a great way to do help convey that.
